Having decided to replace the motor and new battery unit, it only seemed fit to replace as many of the parts as possible ensuring an extended user life of my Philips shaver. See my other comments regarding replacing the inner workings. All products today should be repairable and the Philips electric shaver items I bought from Ersatzteil Direct.de have enabled me to do just that.
